Solving problems by talking to yourself? How to “Bear Talk” and three benefits

Thank you for reading my blog.

Have you ever had this problem at work?

“I’m stuck and don’t know what to do.”

“I can’t come up with a good idea.”

It is very common to want to make progress in your work, but not know what to do.

So, in this issue, I would like to share with you the “Bear Talk” method and its three advantages.

I learned this method from a senior colleague at work, and my problem-solving skills have greatly improved since I started doing it.

I have never heard of this method anywhere else, and it is unique and cannot be found by Googling.

So let’s go ahead and find out what exactly “Bear Talk” is and what the benefits of “Bear Talk” are.

What is Bear Talk?

The “Bear” in “Bear Talk” is, as you all know, the “Bear” in “Teddy Bear,” a stuffed bear.

In other words, “Bear Talk” means talking to a stuffed bear.

I am sure many of you are thinking, “What, people will think I am crazy if I do that?”

It doesn’t have to be a stuffed bear, and you don’t have to say a word.

The important thing is to create a simulated situation in which you talk to someone.

If you can create that situation, it doesn’t matter what method you use.

If you are in a situation where you can talk to someone, you can talk to someone, but if you live alone and work from home, that is not possible.

That’s when I want you to remember this “Bear Talk”.

For example,

“I’ve been asked by a client to propose a new project, what do you think is the best project?”

“I have three plans: Plan A is , Plan B is , and Plan C is __.”

In this way, you can make it sound like you are asking a question or having a discussion.

What are the effects of this method of “Bear Talk”?

Let’s see the effects of “Bear Talk” in the next part.

Three advantages of “Bear Talk”

No.1: Ideas come to mind

Have you ever had an idea come to you when you are talking to someone about a problem or issue?

When you are talking to a friend or family member about a problem or a problem that you are having, you may suddenly think, “Oh, maybe I should do this.”

By asking a stuffed bear about a problem or issue you are having, you can create a situation similar to the one described above, and an idea may suddenly come to you.

It is possible to generate ideas alone, without help and without bothering anyone.

Taking a walk while mumbling to yourself has a similar effect, and is rather recommended.

No.2: It allows you to think deeply

To ask a stuffed bear what you are struggling with and what you want to solve means to face your problems and challenges carefully.

In asking the question, if you cannot think clearly about what you are worried about and what you want to solve and put it into words, you will not be able to ask the question.

Asking questions is itself a process of thinking deeply about the problem.

And once the problem is clarified, the solution can be considered more clearly and concretely.

In order to think deeply, asking questions is very important, whether it is to someone else or to yourself.

No.3: Self-solving

As mentioned above, “Bear Talk” allows us to think deeply and come up with ideas on how to solve the problem.

As a result, solutions become clear, and if put into action, problems can be solved.

I believe the great advantage of “Bear Talk” is that a single person can perform the entire process from problem posing to problem solving.

I believe that people who can solve problems are not simply smart, but have multiple paths to a solution.

As one of those paths, “Bear Talk” is a very effective tool.

In this issue, we have told you about “Bear Talk”.

It is a very innovative way to solve problems alone by simply talking to a stuffed bear or its equivalent.

Please try it today.

Another very good original way of thinking is called “WHY thinking,” which is summarized in the following article.

Please review the content and practice it as well.

Let me conclude with a few words from Walt Disney.

Think.

Investigate, explore, question, ponder.

Thank you again for reading to the end of this article.
